A klimt-inspired Symphony in Purple

With this piece, I wanted to step directly into an ornamental dreamscape, heavily inspired by the rich, decorative brilliance of the Vienna Secession movement. The canvas comes alive with a radiant Black woman whose cascading, luminous hair is woven with golden spirals, floral patterns, and delicate butterflies, all floating against a shimmering, abstract tapestry of gold and lavender. Wrapped in an intricate mosaic gown that mirrors the mosaic-like textures of the background, she casts a soft, captivating glance over her shoulder. For me, this painting is an exploration of timeless beauty, textile patterns, and an intimate reverence for divine femininity wrapped in gold.
